The most dreamy writing retreat in Italy this summer.
Spacious days filled with morning stretching on the wooden platform in the woods, freshly brewed teas, writing by the pool while indulging in farm-fresh cuisine.
Organized by writer, board-certified naturopathic doctor, and founder of Masha Tea, Maria Geyman, this writing retreat is for those who are seeking open time for creative projects. Last year we had a magazine editor working on her first novel, an acupuncturist ghost-writing a music memoir, but also several people who do not write professionally and just wanted open time to read, journal, and plan their creative endeavors to come. In a world that is so overscheduled, we provide a relatively unstructured space. We convene over shared healthy, organic, beautiful meals. Our style is relaxed and fun.
In addition to the private chef at Maraviglia, we will start each day with a Masha Tea of the day. We will also provide some writing prompts for you to use in a self-guided way. Maria is also organizing a reference library for guests to turn to on this stay.
Pilates instructor Kayla Principato will also join us from New York. She will teach one class a day for retreat guests and will offer additional private classes for those who are interested.
Massage is also available!
This is for you if: You would like to get away somewhere quiet and peaceful. That place is Italy. You want to get a massage. You may be working on your next book or you might not be working on anything at all, and you want to spend some time taking a pause and writing in a journal.
Food: A private chef will cook plant based meals using local, organic food from the vegetable garden on site and from neighboring farms. Of course, there will be olive oil from the farm’s hundreds-year old trees. The food is traditionally Italian, nourishing, and mostly vegetarian. In other words - so good. There will also be local wine, Masha Tea, fresh fruit, and great coffee.
Our Style: Relaxed, minimally structured, beautiful, fun
Take Care: We’ll have daily pilates with New York based instructor Kayla Principato, afternoons in the infinity pool, and creative prompts.
Stay: At Maraviglia, a Tuscan farmhouse in the town of Monte San Savino.
